ABOUT
A LIFE SHAPED BY MANY CULTURES

I’m Carolina Barriga, a designer, Colombian by birth, and French-Swiss by adoption.
I studied Interior Design at LaSalle College in Bogotá and later Digital Marketing at CREA Genève. Two worlds that may seem very different, but to me share the same essence: understanding, simplifying and creating meaningful experiences.
I also became a mother very young. Today, my children are 28 and 24. Growing alongside them while building my professional path taught me how to evolve, adapt and, above all, never be afraid to start again.
rgentina, Costa Rica, Colombia, the United States, France and Switzerland have all, at different moments in my life, been home. Each country has taught me a different way of living, seeing, creating and understanding others.
These experiences, cultures and contrasts continue to shape my creativity and are an essential part of my creative DNA.
Today, from Valais, I bring this journey together at Caro Barriga Design Studio, where I work with individuals and businesses on interior design, web design and digital communication.
Physical or digital spaces, always designed around the people who will experience them.
A PASSION FOR STORIES
Storytelling is at the heart of my work. An interior, a website, a brand or an image all have something to say.
I love discovering that story, understanding what makes it unique and finding the right way to bring it to life.
I create spaces and experiences that are not only beautiful, but that say something, create an emotion and stay with you.
That is probably what best connects all the different worlds I work in.
INTERIOR & DIGITAL DESIGN UNDER ONE ROOF
For me, design is first and foremost about finding solutions. Organising a space, structuring a website or building a digital identity all begin with the same principle: understanding what is needed and giving each element its right place.
Decluttering is also part of the way I work: removing what is unnecessary to make room for what really matters. Whether in an interior or a digital space, I look for solutions that are beautiful, simple, intuitive and coherent, where every element has a purpose and contributes to the story.
That’s why I chose not to choose.
